Google should not have discontinued Picasa. It is a great tool! I have used it for many, many years and still do because it has the basic features and gives you great results you really cannot get without a lot of work. It is truly a shame. I wish they would revisit it.

Picasa was my first love when keeping and editing pictures, and I am still in love. I lament SO MUCH it's gone. I am not a specialist, Photoshop was not for me, so Picasa was fantastic for me! Hopefully there is a return, at least a basic one for all of us who feel orphan. Greetings and thanks.

Picasa is the best photo archive I know.
It has some of the best facilities for red eyes.
And then it has face recognition so I can quickly get an overview of what people I have in the archive.
Importing photos from a folder can be a bit cumbersome.

I've been using this program for years! Very easy to edit your photos and save etc!! I had to reset my computer and it removed it and having hard time redownloading it! I hope their is a safe way to reinstall it?
