I have used this editor for years. I have the full Photoshop package but use Picasa more because it's easy to use and lots of tools and features. And it's free!
I have used PICASA for many years excellent tool the disappointing bit is they have withdrawn support and the ability to email photos direct on gmail wich was brilliant.
It's so versatile, yet simple, easy to operate. You get a goof now and then, but we are human after all. It's a shame this program wasn't continued, upgraded. This one would have been worth it: got a great closeup shot of some Asiatic Lilies, and using a couple of the tricks Picasa includes to have fun with, made a printout of them in the opposite colors filter.......the results are fantastic. I really love this program!!
Picasa allows for editing photos and viewing them in groups or individually. You can correct color balance in at least 2 easy ways.
What some overpaid programmer does, does not mean that new versions are better. I really like how user friendly Picasa 3 is. Picasa 3 FOREVER!
I ran the Photo Department in a big box store, I recommended Picasa to everyone that bought a digital camera. I have used it for a long time, since it was just Picasa and not 1, 2 or 3. Easy to use.
